WELLBEING
At West Beach Primary School, we believe student wellbeing is the foundation for confidence, connection and successful learning.
In a world that is constantly changing, we are committed to creating a safe, caring and supportive environment where every child feels valued, included and empowered to thrive.
We believe learning and wellbeing go hand in hand. By helping students build resilience, positive relationships and social and emotional skills, we support them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and optimism.
Wellbeing is a shared responsibility across our entire school community with our staff working closely together to build positive relationships, foster a strong sense of belonging and support every student’s emotional, social and academic growth.
At West Beach Primary School, every child is known, cared for and encouraged to flourish both inside and outside the classroom.
OUR WELLBEING SPACE
Our new Wellbeing Room provides a calm and welcoming space where students can relax, self-regulate, develop a sense of calm, and be ready for learning.
We also use this space to run our Interoception small group program, host meetings of young student leaders, and conduct confidential meetings with members of our school community, directing people to additional support services where required.
When we partner closely with families and the community, we are best positioned to support children’s wellbeing. Your thoughts, perspectives, and feedback are always welcome, and we encourage you to get in touch with us if you’d like to talk about our wellbeing priorities.
